Newest Hard Rock Stadium Renovations

It’s finally here, the home opener for the Miami Dolphins! But wait, in October?! Hurricane Irma made her way through South Florida, leaving a lot of damage in her wake, and South Florida sporting event schedules were not immune. This article was originally supposed to come out before week 1’s opener on September 10th, but now is as good a time as any. If you’re headed to the game today, you’re in for a treat. Not because the Fins are any good, but because that newly renovated stadium is gorgeous. Major props to Steven Ross for putting his own money (+$500 Million) into upgrading our home. It’s been a series of renovations that have taken place in three phases, with construction happening during the offseason.

Entrance to The Nine, hosted by Aston Martin.

The current renovations were nothing short of luxurious. The Nine, hosted by Aston Martin, is like being at a country club with an inside view of Hard Rock Stadium. There’s an indoor area that resembles a 5-star lounge, leading to your individual outdoor suites. Or should I say, sweet!

The 100 level also upgraded their beer game, with new and improved Tap Rooms on the North and South side of the 100 level. The Rock is making it a point to feature local brews; 140 Florida craft tap handles to be exact! They’re also featuring another 100 domestic craft beers. Tell me I won’t try them all! Boasting one of the highest points of distribution, which basically means you won’t have to wait in ridiculously long lines for delicious beer, I’ll have plenty of opportunities to get my drink on.

You’re probably asking yourself, “Did they only renovate the expensive seats?” Not a chance. Underneath the new big screens on each corner of the stadium that were unveiled in phase-two last season, on the 300 level, the Fins have added a new party terrace, which is standing room only, but it’s a lot of room to go buckwild when there’s a big play. The four terraces, have double-sided bars to serve the 200 guests that it holds. The Dolphins have also committed to donating 100 tickets each game to some very well-deserving local military troops serving our country.

The Party Terrace, aka the Pipe It Up lounge.

If you can afford it, the club level is where it’s at. The UHealth Cornerstone Club took a page out of Brickell. It’s definitely the place to watch the game with big group of your closest friends, or co-workers if your employer’s cool like that. Sponsored by Anheuser Busch, you’re not far from a selection of Stella, Goose Island, Shock Top, and various other AB selections.

Also located in the club level is the expanded club level dining area. Get your taste buds ready, because this place has a better local selection than Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. You can expect Sushi Maki, my favorite – Los Ranchos, Shorty’s BBQ, Jackson Soul Food, Ray Allen’s Grown, Coyo Taco (may or may not include the secret bar in the back), The Don – Shula Burger, celebrity chef David Chang’s Fuku, and former Dolphin Bob “Bru” Brudzinski’s Bru’s Room. Once again, tell me I won’t try them all!

In a nutshell, there’s something for everyone. We now have a world-class stadium, and they’re working on a world-class football team, so be some world-class fans and get your asses to the stadium!
