The Panthers have been adding to their roster with offseason signings. They are looking to improve their 7-9-3 record from this past season. Here is the FIU Men’s Soccer signing tracker, with some of the players that head coach Mat Dunn and his staff have brought on board.

Martin Piedeleu

Piedeleu is a 5’8 midfielder from Brussels, Belgium. As a freshman last season at Siena, he was the MAAC Rookie of the Year after scoring four goals and logging seven assists in all 19 matches. He earned MAAC Third Team All-ACC honors and made it on the MAAC All-Championship Team.

Martin Piedelu has previously played for Francs Borains in Boussu, Hainaut Province, and has experience from the Belgian Youth National Team. Also, he has attended Porte Océane in Le Havre.

Santi Possu

Possu is a 6’1 forward from Cali, Colombia. Last season, he became the first player in Concord Men’s Soccer history to earn First Team All-American honors. He was also on the All-Atlantic First Team after leading the team with 13 goals and 30 points. His 23 career goals rank second in program history, and his 52 points are third.

Santi Possu had previously earned CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team and All-Mountain East Conference Second Team honors during the 2024 season.

Oliver Stavdal

Stavdal is a 5’11 midfielder from Moss, Norway. He made 14 appearances and five starts last season for Kentucky, logging four shots and one shot on goal in 588 minutes.  In the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament Qualifier, he played 76 minutes.

Oliver Stavdal made the SBC Commissioner’s List. As a freshman in 2024, he scored three goals for six points in 18 matches. He recorded 15 shots, with six on goal.

Owen Barnett

Barnett is a 5’11 midfielder from Wellington, New Zealand. He started in all 20 matches last season for Hofstra, logging 1,645 minutes with a goal and three assists. His efforts led to his becoming the captain of the 2025 Sweet 16 squad. In 2024, he started in 17 of his 21 games and recorded 3 assists.
He has been a member of the Hofstra Athletic Director Scholars and CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Rolls while also making Hofstra’s Dean List. Owen Barnett has been named U20 Player of the Year, Miramar Rangers Capital Premier Player of the Year, and Wellington Youth Division Top Goal Scorer during his amateur career.

Jad Benjelloun

Benjelloun is a 6’0 midfielder from Weston.

He has made 25 starts over his three-year collegiate career and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2024 and 2025. In nine appearances at St. John’s last season, he scored on two of his four shots on goal, totaling 11 shots.

The season prior, at Iona, he was a MAAC All-Academic Team honoree, posting eight points on two goals and four assists. Jad Benjelloun appeared in 16 matches and was fifth on his team with 1,359 minutes. In 2023, he tallied two assists in 15 matches. He played scholastically at Archbishop McCarthy High School.

Thomas Sellwood

Sellwood is a 6’0 midfielder from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has played in 32 games through two seasons at Seton Hall, making an NCAA tournament appearance in 2025. Last year, he made two starts in 16 games, posting a goal and three assists in 388 minutes. Coincidentally, his best game came against FIU (October 7), where he scored a goal and tallied an assist in a 5-0 win.

Thomas Sellwood scored a goal on his only shot on goal in 16 games and 316 minutes in 2024. He didn’t play for the program in 2023, despite making the Big East All-American Team. Before SHU, he competed for Weston FC of MLSNext U19.

Mateo Camejo

Camejo is a 6’3 defender from Escondido, California. He started in all 20 games and scored a goal in 1,246 minutes last year as a freshman at Drexel. The business analytics major earned Philly Soccer Six Defender of the Year honors. Previously, he was a two-year captain for Albion SC MLS Next, leading them to the MLS Next Playoff qualifiers.

Mateo Camejo has played for the Albion SC NISA Pro, Orange County USL Academy, and Inferiores de Defensa y Justicia in Argentina. He was also part of the San Diego Surf ECNL U19, appearing in the round of 16 in the ECNL Playoffs.

Mateo Stickler

Stickler is a 5’11 defender from Miami. He plays for Empoli FC and is currently on loan at San Marino. Having previously played for the U-20 Peruvian National Team, he has made 63 Serie D appearances, totaling 4,240 minutes, two goals, and two assists.
Mateo Stickler has previously represented Alessandria U19 (2022-23), Prato (2023-24), Empoli U20 (2024), Pistoiese (2024-25), and his youth club was Juventus Academy Miami.

Miquel Gelabert

Gelabert is a 5’7 forward from Mallorca, Spain. He scored 15 goals and tallied 12 assists for Cumberland University last season. In a game against Georgetown, he scored a hat trick. He made the NAIA First Team All-American and was the MSC Conference Freshman of the Year. Miquel Gelabert has previously played for Mallorca U19.

Matteo Piccardo

Piccardo is a 5’7 defender from Genova, Italy. He spent the past three seasons playing for the University of New Hampshire. Last season, he started in eight games, scoring two goals and tallying two asasists. The 26-year-old was the Harvey Johnson Most Inspirational Player and was part of the America East Honor Roll.

Matteo Piccardo was a member of U.S. Pergolettese from 2020-22 and of Genova C.F.C from 2017-2020. He played for the Italian Youth National Team from 2015-19 and attended the Linguistic High School Alberto Moravia.

Michele Ballanti

Ballanti is a 6’2 defender from Italy. He’s made 40 Serie D appearances for Imolese Calcio (2023, 2024-25) and Progresso Calcio (2023-24). Michele Ballanti recently played for ASD Medicina Fossatone.

Finn Bauens

Bauens is a 6’3 defender from Cologne, Germany. The 22-year-old recorded a goal and nine assists in 22 games for Eintracht Hohkeppel in 2025-26. He played 1,919 minutes last season and has been with the club since 2022. From 2020 to 2022, Finn Bauens played for Fortuna Köln.

Mats Vogel

Vogel is also a 6’3 defender from Cologne, Germany. The 22-year-old has played in the Oberliga German Soccer League. Last season, he had a goal and three assist in 23 matches. He’s been with SpVg Frechen 20 since 2024.

Mats Vogel played for Fortuna Köln from 2022 to 2024 and previously played for Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind from 2018 to 2022.

Benjamin Watt

Watt is a 5’9 midfielder from London, England. He is a former England U16 Youth National Team player. The 22-year-old played at Norwich City U21 in two different stints (2023 & 2024) before joining Wingate & Finchley in 2025.

His prior clubs include the Concord Rangers (2024-25), Braintree (2023-24), Oxford Utd U18 (2020-21 & 2021-22), and Stratford Town (2021). Benjamin Watt is also a product of Tottenham Hotspur’s youth academy.

Sergio Perello

Perello is a 5’7 forward from Doral. He’s played in over 80 matches for Inter Miami CF II during the 2025 season. Prior to the promotion, he was in the Inter Miami CF Academy, where he once earned Player of the Month honors in January 2024.

The 18-year-old has also played for the U17 Venezuela National Team. He is known as a smart attacking winger who’s a constant threat. Sergio Perello once scored six goals in a weekend at the EDP Florida Competitive League Playoffs Best XI, leading the Doral Soccer Club to the championship.
