FIU Women’s Basketball has announced its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, which features seven home games and four away games.

Most of these teams are opponents that FIU is already familiar with.

South Florida – Away

FIU starts the season on the road in Tampa when they play against USF on November 3rd.

It’s the first time since 2017 that both teams have faced each other, and the Panthers are seeking their first win in a matchup since 1996.

Bethune-Cookman – Home

FIU plays its first home game against Bethune-Cookman on November 15th.

The Panthers won in their previous contest, a 54-51 victory in 2023.

UCF – Away

The Panthers will face a Power 4 opponent, UCF, in Orlando on November 18th.

Both squads haven’t played against each other since 2016, and FIU hasn’t beaten the Knights since 2014.

Jacksonville – Away

Florida International University will continue its road trip in Jacksonville on November 22nd.

The Panthers hold a 5-9 record against the Dolphins and lost in last year’s matchup 72-54 at The Bank.

UMBC – Home

In the first game of the FIU Thanksgiving Classic, they play against the University of Maryland on November 28th.

The Panthers and UMBC faced each other once in 2011, with the Retrievers coming out victorious.

TBD – Home

This matchup will be announced based on the outcome of the Seattle and Presbyterian game in the FIU Thanksgiving Tournament.

It will be the first time FIU plays against either team, and the game is scheduled for November 30th.

Georgia State – Home

The Georgia State Panthers come into town to face FIU on December 5th.

FIU beat them 70-63 at The Bank in what was their only head-to-head matchup to date.

Florida Atlantic – Away

The first of two matchups against their rivals from Palm Beach County will be played on December 15th.

The Panthers beat the Owls in their last contest at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, 65-62, two years ago.

Youngstown State – Home

FIU and Youngstown State will play each other for the first time in both programs’ history on December 19th.

The Penguins finished the past season with a 9-15 record and got eliminated in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament.

Florida Atlantic – Home

The series against FAU will head back south to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on December 20th.

FIU lost at The Bank 62-52 last year and is looking to beat them at home for the first time since 2022.

Florida National – Home

For the fourth consecutive season, FIU and FNU clash, but this time it will be the final game of their non-conference slate on December 30th.

The Panthers demolished the Conquistadors in a lopsided 132-25 victory last year.
