Miami, Florida – Real Madrid is in Miami! The team arrived at the Miami International Airport in the late hours of Thursday night after a long 6-hour flight. Real Madrid will sleep and wake up the next day to a closed door practice in the morning and an evening practice (8:00 PM) open to the public with tickets at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami will be hosting on Saturday just the second ever Clasico outside of Spain.
Real Madrid came to Miami without knowing if Toni Kroos will be available for Saturday’s match as he had to leave practice for a discomfort on his ankle 2 days ago. He was not available to play on Wednesday night in Los Angeles where Los Blancos lost 4-1 against Manchester City. Another uncertainty is Sergio Ramos who Thursday morning returned to practice with the group after almost a week apart from his teammates.
This Clasico marks a huge step in the US for soccer and for Miami as well. As the city has been looking forward to the Clasico since it was announced back in March. This will show that the city is ready for an MLS team that we have been promised since 2014.
El Clasico one of the most watched events in the world will be in our city on Saturday evening at 7:30 PM at Hard Rock Stadium with a more than likely sold out crowd for the International Champions Cup.
