Jordyn Kinn and Riley Silvers Join FIU Softball

FIU Softball has announced the addition of freshmen Jordyn Kinn and Riley Silvers. Kinn is a native of Naples, Florida, who is majoring in criminal justice. Silvers is a native of Chicago, Illinois, who’s also majoring in criminal justice.

A class of 2025 graduate from Barron Collier High School, Kinn was a consistent four-year varsity starter in the outfield. During those four seasons, she helped lead her team to a 53-40 record, including two district titles in 2023 and 2024.

As a senior, Kinn was ranked #148 in Florida and hit .533 with 36 runs scored and 10 triples. She played catcher during her sophomore and junior seasons. In her junior season, Kinn batted .493 with 40 RBI, seven doubles, and six triples.

Jordyn Kinn was accredited as Player of the Game three times, twice as a freshman and once as a sophomore. As a versatile and ambitious outfielder, she ranked in the top 122 statewide for one stat, top 13 in 4A for one stat, and top 2 in 5A District 12 for two stats.

Chicago Style Hitting Coming to FIU

Silvers is a 2025 graduate from Naperville Central High School. A two-time First Team All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State selection, she was second in the DVC Player of the Year voting in 2024. Last season, Riley Silvers broke the school record with 59 runs. In 2024, she slashed .467/.503/.912 along with 31 singles and 36 RBI. Silvers led her team with 11 home runs, four triples, and 22 doubles.

Extra Innings Softball ranked Riley Silvers as the fourth-best catcher in the Midwest as well as the 30th-best catcher in the nation in 2024. She has competed with the Sparks Premier Tholl club.

Silvers may be joining FIU to play softball, but she was also a basketball player in high school. She played small forward during her freshman and sophomore seasons.
