MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have re-signed forward Simone Fontecchio. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fontecchio appeared in 70 games (nine starts) last season with the HEAT and averaged 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 16.8 minutes while shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from three-point range and a career-high 84.3 percent from the foul line, helping Miami finish with a .792 free throw percentage, the fourth-highest during a single season in team history. He scored in double-figures 29 times, including five 20-point games, and connected on a three-point field goal in a career-long 19-straight games through November 23. He made multiple treys 33 times, including in six consecutive games twice, both tying the second-longest streak of his career. He shot at least 50 percent from downtown 24 times, including over 70 percent on seven occasions. Additionally, he made a career-tying six three-point field goals twice, first on January 28 and again on April 10.
