The Goat Re-signs
The GOAT, Lionel Messi, has officially re-signed with Inter Miami CF and will be on the pitch when the Herons inaugurate Miami Freedom Park next season. Details of the contract extension were not disclosed, except that it runs through the 2028 season. However, it is rumored that Messi has an opt-out clause after each year. Barcelona legends Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba will not be part of opening night next season, as both have announced their plans to retire at the end of the 2025 MLS campaign.

Nashville Incoming
Inter Miami will face Nashville SC in the First Round of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, with the first match scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. at Chase Stadium. The Herons’ final regular-season game was also against Nashville, where Miami earned a 5–2 victory led by Lionel Messi’s hat trick and an assist.

Tonight, Messi will surely need help from his teammates to overcome a tough Nashville side, but the GOAT always finds a way to lead the charge for Miami.
Rocco or Ustari
Rocco Rios-Novo has started the last few matches for Inter Miami, including the last win at home versus Nashville, and has played well. Ustari hasn’t played since September 30th and is rumored to have a small shoulder issue. Javier Mascherano will have to decide who to start tonight, and it’s not going to be an easy choice. Ustari, veteran, proven player with big-game experience, or Rocco, young. more mobile and agile protegee. Who would you play?
