MIAMI, FL – FIU Women’s Soccer sank its teeth into the Eastern Florida State Titans in a 9-0 victory. This was an exhibition match that showcased offensive versatility and a strong defensive shutout from start to finish.
The Panthers controlled the pace early, slowly getting into their groove while still applying pressure on the Titans. EFCC threatened to score a few times in the first 10 minutes, but goalkeeper Valery Restrepo had a series of saves, shutting down those early opportunities. That momentum allowed the Panthersâ offense to find its rhythm and begin scoring.
The first score came from Maya Maxwell, putting FIU ahead 1-0. Quick to add to the total, Zora Jackson capitalized on her chance to make it 2-0. Jackson continued to be a threat throughout the half, including another sharp shot on goal. She also assisted teammate Mona Gellert late in the half to extend the lead to 3-0 with nine minutes to go.
Cruising Into The Second Half
With just a minute remaining in the first half, Jayden Boelter struck to send the Panthers into the break up 4-0. FIU recorded six shots while allowing just two shots on their net, both of which were stopped by Restrepo. The second half began much like the first, with the Panthers quickly regaining control and adding to its score.

Antonella Solari scored a highlight-worthy goal to push the score to 5-0. Following that highlight, Ashley Martinez and Brealyn Viamille joined the scoresheet, making it 7-0 with 26 minutes to go.
Brealyn was not done, though, three minutes later, she scored again to bring the Panthers to an 8-0 lead. Antonella then notched her second goal of the afternoon, with 14 minutes to play and the Titans down 9-0.
New Season, Same Fire
While the Panthersâ offensive attack earned the spotlight today, their defensive performance was just as impressive. Their back line kept EFCCâs at bay, limiting them to minimal scoring chances with just two shots on goal the entire match.
Zora Jackson and Antonella Solari stood out, contributing two goals each and setting up their teammates for several scoring chances. With multiple players finding the net, it’s safe to say this team is not messing around this season.
The victory was a complete team effort, and if the Panthers can maintain this form, they will remain a juggernaut throughout the season.
