Lemon City Live 2025 Heisman Watchlist | Final Edition

Miami, Florida – This is it, the final week of the 2025 Lemon City Live Heisman Watchlist Power Rankings, where the last games were played before the postseason. The P4 and G5 conferences completed their title games this past weekend, and the CFP committee has spoken. With the 12-team playoff field set, we’re very close to the announcement of the Heisman finalists. Since 2021, it has been established that four Heisman finalists are invited to New York City for the ceremony. Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Dillon Gabriel, and Miami’s own former quarterback Cam Ward were last year’s participants.

The final edition saw a latecomer break into the top five with the previous number two being ejected, shaking up the group one more time. The regular season finale and conference championships (where applicable) factored into who made it on the list. Without further ado, here is the definitive Heisman list for 2025.

Gunner Stockton

Final Ranking: 5

He always finds a way to claw back in here. Gunner Stockton is the epitome of persistence for the 2025 edition of the Heisman Watchlist. The Georgia QB played himself out of the rankings with a lackluster performance at Georgia Tech, only to sneak back in on Marcel Reed’s expense, who dropped like a stone due to an uninspiring loss to Texas, throwing two picks and failing to score. Stockton benefited from a bonus game and took advantage, defeating Alabama in the SEC Championship, tallying 156 yards and three touchdowns. He finishes his third season with 2,691 yards, 23 TDs (plus eight rushing), and five interceptions.

Jeremiyah Love

Final Ranking: 4

It’s never too late to make it. Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love spent a good chunk of the season on the outside, overshadowed by the performances of the other Heisman hopefuls. No more. Love’s finale was nothing to write home about: 66 yards on 14 carries and a TD in the 49-20 win over Stanford. The body of work is where he shines. Producing 1,372 yards on 199 carries, Love averaged almost seven yards per carry, hitting the endzone a combined 21 times. He crossed the centennial mark in six games, too. Seen as a dark horse candidate, or as I like to call it, a chaos pick, Love should be a finalist.

Diego Pavia

Final Ranking: 3

Although Diego Pavia was unable to participate in a conference championship, he ended the year with a win over then No. 19 Tennessee, churning out 268 yards in the air and rushing for 165, scoring both ways. He threw two picks, but Vanderbilt won regardless, 45-24. Pavia’s Heisman hopes ended weeks ago. However, he firmly solidified himself as a finalist. I enjoyed watching him play throughout 2025, and personality-wise, he seems like a stand-up guy. The Vandy QB had one heck of a run, totaling 3,192 passing yards, 826 rushing yards, and a combined 36 touchdowns with eight interceptions.

Julian Sayin

Final Ranking: 2

This became a real dogfight. Julian Sayin snapped Michigan’s four-year dominance over the Buckeyes, throwing for 233  yards and finding the endzone thrice. At the time, the No. 15 Wolverines were the only program standing between Ohio State and an undefeated regular season. Sayin delivered in spades. The conference title game against Indiana was a well-fought battle where he passed for 258 yards and also scored once with a pick. If he doesn’t win it next weekend, Super Sayin has all the talent to claim the trophy in 2026. Julian totaled 3,323 passing yards, 31 TDs, and six interceptions.

Fernando Mendoza

Final Ranking: 1

This is without a doubt who I think should be the Heisman winner. He ended the season strong with three touchdowns, including one rushing TD against Purdue, and went on to win the Big Ten Championship 13-10, ending Ohio State’s undefeated streak. Recording 222 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, Fernando Mendoza outdueled Julian Sayin to secure the top spot for best team in the nation heading into the CFP. Mendoza tops off the campaign with 2,980 passing yards, 33 TDs, and six INTs. Take a bow, you did great.
